In 2021 Street Work Soccer in partnership with Manchester City Academy developed the Street Select programme: The programme provides young people from socially and economically deprived, as well as ethnic minority communities the opportunity to train weekly at the CFA facilities. Young people attending our weekly community SWSA programme sessions who impress coaching staff with their football abilities are invited to attend the Street Select programme at CFA.

In 2021 Street Work Soccer in partnership with Manchester City Academy developed the Street Select programme: The programme provides young people from socially and economically deprived, as well as ethnic minority communities the opportunity to train weekly at the CFA facilities. Young people attending our weekly community SWSA programme sessions who impress coaching staff
with their football abilities are invited to attend the Street Select programme at CFA.

The programme provides young people from socially and economically deprived
Coaches are assigned an age group to coach to give continuity to the young people attending the sessions. Furthermore, coaching session are planned appropriately in relation to the young people’s ages. All players invited to Street Select programme are given a minimum of 4 sessions.
Young people in the Street Select programme are also given the opportunity to take part in a games programme against Manchester City Select and grassroots teams who are invited to the Sunday sessions.
