The Academy runs evening coaching sessions on a weekly basis. The classes are structured by young people who are enrolled in sessions suitable to their age and ability. The classes are structured in the first instance by age. The sessions run for approximately 1-2 hours, the older classes run for 2 hours. Sessions include football skills, development of physical skills and personal and social development.
An initial assessment of the participant’s general capabilities is made; this enables the coach to benchmark the young person and measure any subsequent development in their performance. Individual support is given to enable the participants to progress at their own pace; through the various levels to the academies elite centres.
